Birden, Smith on Connecticut All Star TeamPosted Saturday, May 09, 2009 by Omar McDew All-Herald LB Antonio Birden and All-State DT Darius Smith were recently named to the 2009 Govenor's Cup team. They were picked from a pool of 300 players that tried out at a combine held on March 29th at the New Haven Athletic Center. The all star game which pits the some of the best senior football players from Connecticut vs Rhode Island's best, will be played on June 27th, at 7:00, at Rentschler Field
